LSA junior at the University of Michigan, Rija Awan is the president of End the Cycle. Student volunteers from this organisation teach Afghan families English and American culture. Together, with our Rotary Club, we are establishing a "Big Sisters" mentoring program for an Afghani girl attending a local high school.
